The Sicels (Latin Siculi; Greek Σικελοί Sikeloi) were Iron Age inhabitants of eastern Sicily. Their neighbours to the west were the Sicani. The Sicels gave Sicily the name it has held since antiquity, but they rapidly fused into the culture of Magna Graecia.
