The Palawano languages are spoken on the island of Palawan in the province of Palawan in the Philippines. There are actually
three related, but not mutually intelligible, languages, each with a number of dialects, which called themselves Palawano
(Spanish, from the endonym Palawan). The three Palawano languages share the island with several other languages which are
not part of the Palawan language cluster, though they share a fair amount of vocabulary. These languages are the Kalamian
language, Tagbanwa, Palawan Batak, and the Banggi language Molbog. |
