The Khamti language (Thai: is spoken in Sagaing, Myanmar and Assam, India by the Khamti people. In modern Thai, which it has mutual intelligibility, khamti means open words or open speech. There are some 30 Khamti-speaking villages in Arunachal Pradesh, and 7 in Assam.
